Then Jesus came to them and said.

"All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me.

Therefore go
  •  and make disciples of all nations

  •  baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit

  •  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.

  • and surely I will be with you always

  • to the end of the age.
                                                                             Matthew Chapter 28  verses 18 to 20.

.

"If anyone loves me
he will obey My teaching. ..

but the Councelor, the Holy Spirit,
whom the Father will send in my name,
will teach you all things
and will remind you of everything I have said to you."

John Chapter 14 verses 23, 25, 26.

Discipleship 1974

.In late 1974 Christian Faith Centre ( a vibrant Charismatic church in Sydney)  invited Jonnie Ortez to preach for a full week on a revelation of discipleship.  I saw this could be God's instrument to reach communities
to share Christ with people in all areas of life.
I saw that normall when something is taught and passed on and passed on at each level there is a massive loss of accuracy and of the information.
However if a group of people are led to Christ
and as they are discipled
they are reading the scriptures
and inspired by the Holy Spirit
bringing the truth to our minds
revealing more of Christ
convicting us of our sins
and comforting us

then each "generation" would increase in their (our) knowledge of God
and ministries would spring forth.

Revelation would and should flow up and down and accross

Men's Ministry 2007!

In 2007 I attended a Thursday morning Men's Ministry at Hillsong Church.

At the core was a solid team of students (young men) and Pastor Jay.

It was powerful. I could see how impacting real challenging Men's Ministry

could be as real men's issues are addressed.

God  leads me to men sharing Christ's blessings 2010!

Time and time again I have found myself in situations where I shared my story with young men who have their own need.
Tonight twice I was talking with two young men
neither attend a church
both have a love for God

One man asked me what is the difference between the Catholics and
Protestants. When I was in a protestant theological college I simply saw
that each had "their" doctrines and each taught their students why they are right and others wrong. I found this unhelpful.

Since then I read of what is supposed to be the pivital difference -
Protestants are meant to practice private interpretation of scriptures.
That Christians ought to be studying the scriptures
and be submitted to Jesus Christ
and led by the Holy Spirit.

Sadly everywhere men build "broken cysterns".  It becomes man centred,  leadership from the top religion.

Tonight, Monday 6thy December 2010 (during the Jewish Feast of
Hannaka ) the Lord gave me a fresh revelation of discipleship.
Jesus met ordinary people in ordinary places
and shared truth
met needs
and showed the way to God the Father.

    Discipleship.

    Discipling men.

                          doing it naturally
                          based on relationships
                          doing life together
                          each "generation"  knowing Christ
                          receiving ministry
                          doing ministry
manifesting the fruits of the Holy Spirit.
receiving and sharing revelation from the Lord
                          discerning spirits
                          testing teaching

Being New Testament Christians.
